Tracloc North America, LLC Purchases Trakloc Building Systems

   Author: Nicole Stuever
Location: Newark, NJ

Trakloc North America, LLC has purchased the assets of Trakloc Building Systems and assets of Trakloc International. This agreement gives Trakloc North America the Master Licensor rights to produce and distribute the Trakloc System, a patented steel framing system for the construction industry, in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

"We are excited and confident about this acquisition because we have the most cost effective and innovative technology in the metal framing industry," said David Jablow, President and CEO of Trakloc North America. "The Trakloc System significantly decreases overall construction costs, increases productivity and improves the quality of the finished product. In addition, it also produces less scrap, helps to make jobsites safer than ordinary framing systems.”

The patented Trakloc System is a self-locking interior drywall stud framing system that allows metal framers to construct walls faster than standard drywall studs allow. Trakloc eliminates the need to fasten the studs to tracks with screws, using its patented "twist and lock" method. Trakloc studs also have a telescopic property that reduces the labor needed to cut and join each stud. The combination of these two elements has been shown to decrease labor costs by up to 50 percent.

Presently the Trakloc System is produced in state-of –the –art plants in Nashville, Tenn.; Oakland, Calif.; Milwaukee, Wis. and Dayton, Ohio. A plant is scheduled to open in New Jersey within the next three months.

About Trakloc
The Trakloc System was originally invented in Australia. William Andrews developed the system after noticing that the installation on a large job site was time consuming and costly. After extensive research and testing, Andrews created the Trakloc System used today. The product was installed throughout Australia in all sizes and types of projects. It was introduced to the U.S. market in 2002 and currently represents approximately 50 percent of the market for interior framing.
