MCA Elects 2011 Board of Directors & Officers at Annual Meeting

March 8, 2011, Glenview, IL -- The Metal Construction Association (MCA) elected its 2011 Board of Directors and Officers at its recent annual meeting in San Diego, CA.

Jeff Irwin, Kingspan Benchmark, Columbus, OH will serve his second term as Chair (previous title of President), Todd Miller, Classic Products Inc., Piqua, OH will serve as Vice Chair and Karl Hielscher, Metl-Span LLC, Lewisville, TX, will serve as Treasurer.

John Bernardi, left, vice president of business development for Firestone Building Products in Indianapolis, IN and Jim Tuschall, president and CEO of Tuschall Engineering in Burr Ridge, IL were newly elected to the MCA Board of Directors.

In addition to Mr. Bernardi and Mr. Tuschall, left, those serving on the 2011 MCA Board of Directors are: Ken Buchinger, MBCI, Houston, TX; Bill Croucher, Fabral, Lancaster, PA; Jerry Hatley Jr, Roll Coater Inc., Indianapolis, IN; Bill Hippard, Precoat Metals, St. Louis, MO; Ed Karper, Akzo Nobel, Columbus, OH; Ted Miller, Miller Clapperton, Austell, GA; Brian Partyka, Drexel Metals Corp., Ivyland, PA; Sid Peterson, Alcoa Architectural Products, Lisle, IL; Renee Ramey, Steelscape Inc., Kalama, WA; Randy Ridenour, Atlas Bolt & Screw, Ashland, OH; Norbert Schneider, Umicore Building Products USA Inc., Raleigh, NC; and Roger Sieja, Wismarq Corp. Inverness, IL.

MCA's 2011 Annual Meeting, held January 23-25 in San Diego, CA, was attended by more than 125 current members, potential members, and guests. In addition to the election of officers, the meeting focused primarily on council and committee work, especially technical and market development activities.

The Metal Construction Association's mission is to grow the use of metal through market development, education, technical programs and selective action on public policies that affect the use of metal in building projects. MCA's next meeting is the 2011 Semi-Annual Meeting, set for August 1-3, 2011 in Raleigh, NC.
