The Metal Initiative to Exhibit at Booth 1315

April 23, 2012, GLENVIEW, Ill. -- The Metal Initiative, an industry program designed to increase the use of metal materials in construction, will exhibit at booth 1315 at the American Institute of Architect's (AIA) National Convention and Design Exposition, May 17-19, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

The Metal Initiative (TMI) is the Metal Construction Association's (MCA) market development program to increase the use of metal materials in construction by educating decision makers in the building and design communities about the benefits and applications of metal.

MCA is a registered provider of AIA CES courses and a course listing will be available at booth 1315. A complete list and description of MCA's offerings - including technical materials -- is available at

Case studies from The Metal Initiative that feature the benefits of building with metal will be showcased at the booth and are also available for downloading at

AIA Expo2012 showcases products, materials, technologies, and services architects need. Attendees have the opportunity to see and touch products, to get detailed information, and to ask questions.

About the Metal Construction Association
The Metal Construction Association (MCA) is an organization of manufacturers and suppliers whose metal wall and roofing components are used in buildings throughout North America. The association's mission is to grow the use of metal through market development, education, technical programs and selective action on public policies that affect the use of metal in building projects.
